Report: School resource officer reportedly removed from job after writing school principal a parking ticket

An Ohio school resource officer was reportedly taken off the job after he gave the school principal a parking ticket.

What are the details?

Officer Adam Chinchic — a school resource officer and Warren Police Department cop — reportedly warned the principal of Jefferson PK-8 school in Warren, Ohio, against parking in a handicap zone.
According to the Cincinnati Enquirer, Chinchic saw the principal's vehicle parked in the handicapped space several times, and warned the principal several times.
When it became apparent that the principal wasn't going to heed the officer's warning, Chinchic issued a citation.
Michael Stable with the Warren Police Union, told WFMJ-TV, "A citation was issued to the vehicle for the handicapped parking violation. Within one hour, the superintendent had ordered two administrators to go to Jefferson and escort the SRO off the property."
Greg Hicks, city law director, said that Chinchic "had given a number of verbal warnings over a period of time to the principal of the facility to not park in a handicap-designated area."

So what happened next?

According to WFMJ, when Chinchic issued the principal a parking ticket, she reportedly contacted school administration officials who directed school security to escort the officer from the premises.
Michael Currington, a representative for union, pointed out the principal's alleged hypocrisy.
"If the principal thinks she can park wherever she wishes, what signal does that give to the kids?" Currington asked. "Whenever you reach a certain status in life, you don't have to follow the rules anymore."
Chinchic had been a resource officer at the school for two years, Currington said.

Warren City Schools Superintendent Steve Chiaro issued a statement on the matter. A portion of that statement read, "It is our belief that an individual event or series of events should never impede what we have accomplished or affect the positive rapport and interactions our students and staff experience with our officers each day."
It is unclear at the time of this writing whether Chinchic will return to the school, or if he will be reassigned to another in the district. The outlet did report, however, that Chinchic is still employed by the department, and is on road patrol duty.
