The least feminist country in the world is Denmark — it also happens to be the 2nd happiest country in the world

A new poll reveals that Denmark is the least feminist country in the world.
While that may not necessarily be intriguing on its own, the fact that 2019's World Happiness Report finding that Denmark is also the second-happiest country in the world shows an interesting correlation.

What are the details?

The new poll, conducted by the YouGov-Cambridge Globalism Project of more than 25,000 people across 23 countries discovered that just 1 in 6 Denmark residents consider themselves to be a feminist.

Also, nearly 40 percent of respondents said that they disapprove of the #MeToo movement.

The Guardian pointed out that Denmark is also "one of the best places in the world to be a woman, with a narrow gender pay gap, equal employment rights, universal nursery care, and some of the happiest female retirees on the planet."

How about them apples?

2019's World Happiness Report, which was released in March, found that the level of emotional well-being in Denmark was very high in comparison to other countries.

The annual report ranks its featured countries on six well-being variables, including freedom, healthy life expectancy, generosity, income, social support, and trust.
"The top 10 countries tend to rank high in all six variables, as well as emotional measures of well-being," said report co-editor John Helliwell, a professor emeritus of economics at the University of British Columbia.

The United States ranked 19th on the list.

According to CNN, "[The U.S.] doesn't rank in the top 10 on measures that make up a happy country in the ... report. They include 12th place for generosity, 37th place for social support, 61st place for freedom and 42nd place for corruption."
