After Congress Passes Sweeping Border Security Bill, AOC Has An Embarrassing Meltdown On Twitter
There’s BREAKING NEWS out of Congress right now. Nancy Pelosi just handed President Trump another huge win on border security.
And some Democrats are definitely NOT happy about it.

“The U.S. House of Representatives on Thursday approved a Senate-passed bill providing $4.6 billion to address a surge of migrants at the U.S. border with Mexico, sending it to President Donald Trump for his signature after Democrats abandoned efforts to add additional migrant protections.”
“Both the White House and the Senate opposed the changes House Democratic leaders had proposed, and a number of moderate Democrats also favored passing the Senate bill without changes.”
“House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, the top Democrat in Congress, said shortly before the vote that her colleagues were giving up their fight for now.”
“‘At the end of the day, we have to make sure that the resources needed to protect the children are available,’ she said in a statement. ‘In order to get resources to the children fastest, we will reluctantly pass the Senate bill.'”
“The vote was 305 to 102.”

The House passed a $4.6 billion bill funding humanitarian aid for migrants at the southern border, approving the Senate version of the legislation over the objections of many liberal Democrats and sending it to President Trump for his signature.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, a Democrat from California, had previously pledged changes to the Senate package before allowing it on the House floor for a vote. Abandoning those plans cleared the way for the bill to be approved by Congress before lawmakers leave Washington for the July 4 recess. …

0 negotiation with the House. We offered crucial amendments to protect children and families - none are even being considered.
A minority is different than a majority. And while the Senate has to deal with its lack of power there, a House majority should have a seat @ the table.
We have time. We can stay in town. We can at LEAST add some amendments to this Senate bill. But to pass it completely unamended with no House input? That seems a bridge too far.
