Chick-fil-A employee heroically dives through window to save a choking child

A Chick-fil-A employee in Georgia may be responsible for saving the life of a young child.

What happened?

The incident took place Tuesday afternoon when drive-thru employee Logan Simmons overheard a panicked mother shout that her young child, who was strapped into the back seat of her car, was being strangled by his seat belt, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Apparently sensing the urgency, Simmons jumped through the drive-thru window to help save the woman's child. Armed with a pocketknife, Simmons cut the child free from his restraints.

Simmons told WSB-TV that time was apparently of the essence.

"I'm still kind of shocked right now myself that all this happened," Simmons told the station. "You could see he was turning red and losing pigmentation in his face."
Simmons' mother told WSB that she's so proud of her son.

"I'm amazed he didn't panic," she said. "As his mother, I would have panicked. I'd be running around going, 'Oh my gosh. What do we do?'"

The incident was caught on camera.
