Former Antifa member asks students if group should be considered a terrorist organization. Survey says 'yes.'

Campus Reform's Cabot Phillips took Gabriel Nadales — a reformed Antifa member — to George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia, to poll students on whether they believed Antifa are a dangerous terrorist group.

The overwhelming majority of students answered in the affirmative.

What are the details?

Last week, Republican Sens. Ted Cruz (Texas) and Bill Cassidy (La.) proposed a resolution to label Antifa a "domestic terrorist group."

According to Cassidy, Antifa members are nothing more than "terrorists."
"Antifa are terrorists, violent masked bullies who 'fight fascism' with actual fascism, protected by Liberal Privilege," Cassidy insisted.

Cruz and Cassidy introduced the measure after recent, prolific Antifa-related attacks on journalist Andy Ngo and threats against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement employees, as well as news of an Antifa supporter who attempted to firebomb an ICE detention center in Tacoma, Washington.

The legislation "calls upon the Federal Government to redouble its efforts, using all available and appropriate tools, to combat the spread of all forms of domestic terrorism, including White supremacist terrorism."

"Bullies get their way until someone says no. Elected officials must have courage, not cowardice, to prevent terror," Cassidy said.

Cruz added, "Antifa is a terrorist organization composed of hateful, intolerant radicals who pursue their extreme agenda through aggressive violence. Time and time again their actions have demonstrated that their central purpose is to inflict harm on those who oppose their views. Like any terrorist organization they choose to pursue their political ends through violence, fear and intimidation. They must be stopped."

Here are some of the more interesting remarks from Campus Reform's interview with the college students below.
  • "I think if they're starting violence and things at Trump's rallies, then I think so because people get hurt, people get killed. Those rallies can get very dangerous, so if people are going there with the purpose to incite violence, I think that's definitely a terrorist organization."
  • "Any violence for a political reason is, by definition, terrorism."
  • "If they are using violence and intimidation, then yeah."
Phillips also asked the students if they feel that Antifa is making liberals and leftists look bad.

Here are some of the more interesting remarks from the college students below.
  • "Yeah, definitely. They make us look more violent."
  • "I just think violence isn't gonna get anybody to listen from either party. I don't think it's gonna solve anything."
  • "The whole concept of fascism, that's ridiculous It's like comparing Trump to Hitler. It's impolite, it's rude, it's not the right words."
