'They left him to die': Family rage at teens who posted video on social media showing them laughing while a 14-year-old boy was dying of a drug overdose in front of them
Horrific video was posted to social media earlier this week showing a 14-year-old boy dying of a drug overdose while witnesses stood by and laughed about it as they recorded his final moments, according to the victim’s family.
Carson Crimeni, 14, was pronounced dead at a hospital near Langley Township, British Columbia on Wednesday.
His grandfather, Darrel Crimeni, found Carson lying on the cement at a skate park alone at around 9:30pm local time.

Paramedics who were called to the scene performed CPR and rushed the boy to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Now investigators want to speak to individuals who were with Carson before his overdose.
‘They left him to die,’ Darrel Crimeni told the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.
Crimeni said he saw videos on social media showing his grandson in distress.
He said that people on the video can be heard laughing. One caption on a photo taken of Carson during his final moments alive reads: ‘Carson almost died LOL.’
Investigators believe that Carson spent his final hours wandering between a skate park and a local secondary school in Walnut Grove, a town located within the Township of Langley.

Aron Crimeni said he believes the people responsible for his son’s drug overdose were a group of older teens with whom he hung out. He said his son struggled to make friends with children his own age
Aron Crimeni, Carson’s father, says he grew worried in the evening when his son did not return multiple calls to his cell phone.
Aron Crimeni started to panic. He then called his father, Darrel Crimeni, who volunteered to walk around the school grounds not far from his home.
‘Next thing you know, I got a call from my dad saying he found him,’ Aron Crimeni told the CBC.
‘The ambulance is working on him,’ Darrel Crimeni told his son. ‘He's in bad shape, really bad shape.’
Aron Crimeni said he believes the people responsible for his son’s drug overdose were a group of older teens with whom he hung out.
He said his son struggled to make friends with children his own age.
‘He thought these people were his friends,’ Aron Crimeni said. ‘He trusted them.’
The bereaved father said his son enjoyed playing hockey and video games.
‘We did everything together,’ he said.
‘I don't even have anyone else to hang out with. He's the only person I hang out with.’
