Confused Black Democrats Credit Obama Not Trump For Historic Low Black Unemployment

President Donald Trump’s “America First” policies have created an unprecedented economic growth in just two and a half years since taking office.   President Trump achieved the lowest-ever recorded unemployment rate for African Americans in August.
The nation’s unemployment rate of 3.7 percent is the lowest it’s been in the last half-century and unemployment inequality now is irrefutably the best on record.
While the black unemployment rate is typically twice the white unemployment rate, the black unemployment is currently at an all-time low at 5.5 percent, white unemployment stands at 3.4 percent.
The unemployment rate for black women is at an historic low of  4.4 percent, from 5.2 percent in July– the lowest rate recorded since the Labor Department started tracking the data in the 1972.
President Trump touted his economic record while speaking to hundreds of leaders of historically black colleges and universities who gathered for an annual conference in Washington, DC.However, the predominantly Democrat-leaning crowd was unwaveringly unimpressed, insisting the low rates of poverty and unemployment for African Americans are remnants of “Obama’s economy.”
“The issue is a lot of the things Donald Trump is reaping the benefits from are from the policies that Barack Obama put forth.” Dr. Marc Williams of New Jersey told the Gateway Pundit. “We weren’t in a recession with President Obama.”
Regardless of the results Trump achieves for the African American community, he is irreconcilably polarizing because “language matters,” Williams argued.

“Even though the numbers are good, you don’t know where a person’s heart is. When you talk about the president and the Democrats and how Democrats feel…the numbers were interesting, it was good to hear him talk, at the same time, that doesn’t diminish the fact that people have the feelings they have.
“People are focused on language,” he said. “You can have the best results, you can be the best teacher on the planet, but if you are speaking in ways that make people feel offended…when you offend someone, you can’t say ‘ I didn’t meant to do it’ – you can say it, but at the end of the day it’s how someone perceives it.”
The record low unemployment rate for African-Americans is undeniably good news, but has nothing to do with the former billionaire business tycoon;s leadership, Avery Atkinson of South Carolina told the Gateway Pundit.
“What I can tell you is that in his term, he is seeing the overflow from President Obama’s administration. And you can Google that, anyone can Google that,” she declared. “It is important when we are touting out statistics or statements that they be true in essence of their origin which was not under his party”
“I am super happy that all those things are happening, and our community is high time, because again, your welcome, America: slavery.”
When asked why she is a loyal Democrat despite the party’s legacy of opposing Civil Rights, including the 13th, 14th, 15 Amendments, the Ku Klux Klan Act of 1871, all the Reconstruction Acts and the Civil Rights Acts of 1866, 1875, 1957, 1960, 1964, Atkinson argued the Democrat and Republican parties “switched” their platforms.
“The numbers that you referenced to came from a Democratic president,” she restated. “To make references to people who look like me being from ‘s-holes countries’ and then in the same breath, saying ‘hey we want to support you’ – it’s an interesting place to try and accept those words. Essentially, there was a switching of parties.
“It wasn’t an actual switch, but in the simplistic terms there was a switching of parties, and a switching of backing and the people in the parties.”
Leftist rhetoric and Democrat policies are the root cause of high poverty and crime rates in predominantly black communities, Paris Dennard, a Republican strategist who’s worked in several capacities within the Trump and George W. Bush administrations, told the Gateway Pundit.
“Major cities– Chicago, Baltimore, Washington D.C.– they have been under Democrat control. When [Democrats] oppose things like parental choice for education or vouchers so that students can have better access to education; when they are opposed to some of the trade agreements; when they are more focused on supporting illegal immigrants and their rights and not the rights of the citizens of the country that live here, were born here and are trying to make it here; when you see that there is an emphasis on getting more people on food stamps and on government welfare programs for an elongated period of time and not having the positive – ‘let’s get more and more people off it – not to be cruel but because we are giving them opportunities’ –a lot of liberal policies have held, unfortunately, the black community down.”
“Let’s open our minds, let’s open our hearts, to something new, and that something new could be Republican that looks like me, or a Republican that looks like Donald Trump,” he continued. “if the policies could be better for your community in terms of safety, education and opportunity, that is something that we have to consider because you can see for 30 years, for a generation, that things have not improved or get better and they certainly didn’t improve under the Obama administration.”
