Eric Holder: ‘Republicans Are Going to Cheat’ in 2020 [Video]

During an interview former Obama Attorney General Eric Holder made the ridiculous claim that Republicans are going to cheat in 2020.
“Yeah, it’s going to be hard because the reality is that Republicans are going to cheat,” Holder said.
“They’re going to try to, you know, keep people away from the polls, they’re going to move polling places, they’re going to do a whole variety of things that when we had Voting Rights Act, was intact and a Justice Department that was concerned about it, we could prevent a lot of this stuff,” he added.
“But we don’t have those tools now, so we got to be prepared for a tough fight, but it’s a fight that we can win. You know, I think that’s the thing, people shouldn’t be so discouraged. This is not a time for despair, this is a time for action. And I think if you keep that as the way in which you’re going to conduct yourself, we can win this fight,” Holder claimed.

PARTIAL TRANSCRIPT:

MCKELVEY: “Are you convinced that the Democrats are going to win in 2020? Because I’m not.”
HOLDER: “I’m convinced, but I’m going to work like hell to make sure that it happens.”
MCKELVEY: “Until some election security bill gets passed, I’m not convinced.”
HOLDER: “Yeah, it’s going to be hard because the reality is that Republicans are going to cheat.”
MCKELVEY: “Yes!”
HOLDER: “They’re going to try to, you know, keep people away from the polls, they’re going to move polling places, they’re going to do a whole variety of things that when we had Voting Rights Act, was intact and a Justice Department that was concerned about it, we could prevent a lot of this stuff. But we don’t have those tools now, so we got to be prepared for a tough fight, but it’s a fight that we can win. You know, I think that’s the thing, people shouldn’t be so discouraged. This is not a time for despair, this is a time for action. And I think if you keep that as the way in which you’re going to conduct yourself, we can win this fight.”
YEE: “It’s not time to be, like, lay down, forget it, I’m just not voting.”
MCKELVEY: “We talked about earlier, we have to make people aware of what they’re up against.”
HOLDER: “Absolutely.”
MCKELVEY: “So an election security bill needs to be passed.”
HOLDER: “Absolutely right. I think that’s absolutely right. Looks like we’re going to finally get one, it looks like McConnell is going to allow a vote in the Senate. I assume trump will sign it. It’s necessary, it should have been in place a long time ago. It should have been in place months and months ago.”
MCKELVEY: “And you know if Trump — Trump doesn’t want to leave the White House, because if he leaves the White House, he’s probably going to end up in jail. So you know he’s going to fight like hell to not leave the White House.”
HOLDER: “That’s interesting. You know, Bill Maher I think once said that Trump is not going to leave and I thought — “
MCKELVEY: “I don’t think he’s leaving either.”
HOLDER: “I thought to myself, that’s ridiculous, but as I thought about it, I’m thinking, you know, this guy with all the norms that he breaks through, I think he loses and it’ll be interesting between, say, November and January when he would have to, you know, start packing and all that stuff. I wonder, for instance, will he pardon himself? Will he try to do that? No one’s ever done that. I don’t think you can do that, but no one’s ever even thought about doing something like that. And so, will he pardon all the people in his Administration, will he pardon himself? That’s something that I wouldn’t take off the table.”
