GOP Senators Grassley, Johnson Seek “Suspicious Activity Reports” on Hunter Biden For Possible Money Laundering, Fraud Related to Burisma

Two powerful GOP Senate chairmen are seeking “suspicious activity reports” on Hunter Biden and Burisma Holdings, a Ukrainian natural gas company.
Senators Chuck Grassley (R-IA) and Ron Johnson (R-WI) sent a letter to the Treasury Department asking for documents for possible money laundering and fraud related to Hunter Biden and Burisma Holdings.
The Senators are seeking “suspicious activity reports,” or documents that financial institutions file with the Treasury’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network when a case of money laundering or fraud is suspected.
In the letter, which was dated November 15, the Senators said Senate Finance Committee and Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee are both conducting an investigation into potentially improper actions by the Obama administration with respect to Burisma Holdings and Ukraine.
“[W]hile then-Vice President Biden was in office, his son, Hunter, worked for Burisma and “would be paid as much as $50,000 per month.” At the time, Burisma and its owner were under investigation by Ukraine and UK authorities,” the letter stated.
The Senators went on to point out the Joe Biden threatened to withhold aid to Ukraine unless Viktor Shokin, the Ukrainian prosecutor that was investigating Burisma was fired, which he eventually was.
The letter referenced John Solomon’s explosive investigative reporting and added, “In addition, Burisma’s consulting firm, Blue Star Strategies, used Hunter Biden’s board membership to gain access to Obama admin officials at the State Department and potentially influence matters before government officials on behalf of Burisma.”

“The Committees have jurisdiction over the taxpayer-funded operations of the State Department and the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network,” the Senators wrote giving the department a December 5 deadline to hand over the requested report.
The Senators requested all Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) on several people and entities connected to Hunter Biden, including Devon Archer, Christopher Heinz. (screenshot below)
