History Made, Black Republican Wins AG In Kentucky, Media Ignores It

As the media and the Democrats, and let’s face it they are one in the same, gush over the apparent defeat of Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin, they are ignoring history.
For the first time in around seven decades a Republican has won the position of attorney general in the Bluegrass State.
And not only is it a Republican who won, but he is a black Republican which really has to stick in the Democrats’ craw and explains why the television media is ignoring it.
Daniel Cameron not only became the first Republican attorney general of the state in sevene decades, he became the first black attorney general in the state’s history.
And you could bet your bottom dollar that if he had a D next to his name his victory would be ballyhooed and celebrated on CNN and MSNBC.
But it has instead been ignored, not only by them but by essentially every journalist who is not in Kentucky.
“In a race that held historic implications, the contest for the next attorney general in Kentucky came down to experience versus change,” Lex 18 said.
“The voters of Kentucky decided that Republican Daniel Cameron will lead the Commonwealth as the next top law enforcement officer,” it said.
“Cameron is now the first African-American voted individually to state-wide office in Kentucky history.
“Cameron also is the first African-American to serve as attorney general and the first Republican in the post in more than 70 years,” it said.
Before his victory, Cameron was optimistic and said that he had received support from both Republicans and Democrats during his campaign.
“”It’s really heartwarming and encouraging when folks, regardless of political affiliation, walk up to you and express support for the idea that you put yourself out there, and made a decision to put your name on a ballot,” he said.
“I want to take that experience of working with our federal partners in the law enforcement community and work with our state partners to really form synergies in our law enforcement community, to make sure we can get a handle on this drug epidemic over the next decade,” he said.
And like Gov. Bevin, new Attorney General Cameron was endorsed by President Trump at his rally in Lexington on Monday and on Twitter.
“The Republican Party has a new STAR, his name is Daniel Cameron (@djaycameron), and he is running for Attorney General of the Commonwealth of Kentucky,” he said.
“He is tough on Crime, Strong on Borders, and will fight for our Second Amendment. Daniel will never let you down. He has my Full and Complete Endorsement!” he said.
