Report: House Democrats Looking at Three Articles of Impeachment Against President Trump

ABC News reported Thursday afternoon that House Democrats are considering three articles of impeachment against President Trump: one for ‘abuse of power’ over Ukraine and the Bidens and two for obstruction of justice with regard to the Mueller investigation and the House Ukraine investigation, respectively. The charges are being considered even before the first public hearings in the impeachment inquiry are set to occur next week. Transcripts from the Democrat-led secret impeachment hearings have been selectively released in recent days, reportedly being choreographed to help the media make the case for impeachment.
The impeachment inquiry is being led by House Intelligence Committee Chairman Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), however the articles of impeachment will reportedly be drawn up the House Judiciary Committee chaired by Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY).
ABC’s Katherine Faulders reported with Ben Siegel and posted highlights on Twitter:
Faulders reported a ‘no comment’ from the office of Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA).

President Trump has steadfastly denied any wrongdoing and no Republican in the House or Senate has called for his impeachment. Two Democrats voted with Republicans last week in opposing a resolution endorsing Pelosi’s unconventional impeachment inquiry that came to a vote weeks after Pelosi authorized secret impeachment hearings.
