Shocking video shows dozens of motorists driving around a pedestrian left to die in the middle of the road after he was knocked down by street racers in a hit-and-run (9 Pics)

The Los Angeles Police Department are looking for a 21-year-old man who is accused of fatally striking a man as he crossed a busy road in the Van Nuys area of Los Angeles.
Roberto Ocampo, 21, is believed to have been behind the wheel of a white sedan as part of an illegal street race, speeding down Sepulveda Boulevard around 10:30pm on Friday night, when one of them hit 22-year-old Neri Ramirez Chalo.
According to surveillance footage, Chalo looked to have seen the two white cars as he was crossing the road.

He had almost made it but started running in an effort to avoid a collision.
He managed to avoid being hit by one car but was fatally struck by the second which was travelling about 40mph. Both drivers fled the scene.
Chalo, who lived in Van Nuys was pronounced dead shortly afterwards.
Surveillance footage then shows at least another 30 cars passed by Chalo's body before a driver decide to stop and summon help, according to ABC News. 
Several drivers could be even be seen slowing down or changing lanes. 
It's believed Roberto Ocampo from the North Hills area was the driver who hit Chalo sending his body several feet down the road.

Ocampo later fled the area but his white Infiniti G37 which was discovered close to the crash scene had damage consistent with the collision, according to LAPD Detective Josh Wade.
'We do believe he was the driver of the vehicle at the time of the collision,' Wade said. 
'The force of the collision propelled Chalo down the roadway, at which point he came to rest,' Wade explained. 
'We want his side of the story. We want to know what his involvement was that night of the accident,' Wade continued. 
'These situations are tragic all the way around, and we can only urge Roberto to come forward and give a statement to us about the night of the accident,' he said.

'The longer he takes to turn himself in, the more stresses he's putting on himself, the more stresses he's putting on this poor victim's family.'
The detective said that Ocampo was likely being helped out by family or friends in managing to avoid police.
Authorities have already been in touch with the 21-year-old's family and have urged  Ocampo's parents to get urge him him to turn himself in as the driver. 
A reward of up to $50,000 is being offered for tips that lead to an arrest or conviction in the case.
