Tulsi Gabbard’s Lawyers Accuse Hillary Clinton of Defamation For ‘Russian Asset’ Claim – Demand ‘Verbal’ Retraction in Press Conference

Rep. Tulsi Gabbard’s lawyers on Monday accused Hillary Clinton of defamation for her ‘Russian asset’ claim and are demanding a verbal retraction.
Hillary Clinton last month accused Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) of being a “Russian asset” who is being “groomed” for a third-party run to help President Donald Trump win re-election.
Hillary went after Gabbard while appearing on the Campaign HQ podcast hosted by Barack Obama’s former campaign manager David Plouffe.
“They are also going to do third party again,” Clinton said. “I’m not making any predictions, but I think they’ve got their eye on somebody who is currently in the Democratic primary and are grooming her to be the third party candidate,” Clinton said, referring to Tulsi.
Gabbard blasted the media during the debate last month for smearing her by claiming she is a Russian asset.
Apparently anyone who disagrees with the mainstream media and the beltway in relation to our policy with Syria is a “Russian asset.”
“Your statement is defamatory, and we demand that you retract it immediately,” Gabbard’s lawyer wrote in a letter.

“It appears you may now be claiming that this statement is about Republicans (not Russians) grooming Gabbard,” Gabbard’s lawyer wrote. “But this makes no sense in light of what you actually said. After you made the statement linking Congresswoman Gabbard to the Russians, you (through your spokesman) doubled down on it with the Russian nesting dolls remark.”
“In light we demand that you immediately hold a press conference to verbally retract  — in full — your comments,” Gabbard’s lawyers wrote demanding Hillary post their prepared retraction to her Twitter account and distribute it to media outlets such as CNN, Fox News, MSNBC etc.
