BREAKING: Tom Brady Officially A Tampa Bay Buccaneer: ‘Excited, Humble And Hungry’

It’s official, six-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback Tom Brady is a Tampa Bay Buccaneer, the team enthusiastically announced Friday morning.
“Tom Brady is officially a Tampa Bay Buccaneer!” the team’s Twitter account cheered.
“The G.O.A.T. is coming to Tampa,” a press release from Tampa Bay celebrated. “The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have addressed their starting quarterback situation in the boldest way possible, signing the player commonly referred to as the ‘greatest of all time:’ Tom Brady.”
The team posted a video of Brady highlights with the caption “TB X TB,” the quarterback’s initials and the initials of Tampa Bay.
“Brady, who tested the free agent market for the first time in his career after 20 historic seasons in New England, signed a multi-year contract with the Buccaneers, the team announced on Friday,” the press release continued. “Tampa Bay’s addition of the three-time NFL MVP is an indication that team architects believe the rest of the roster is already strong enough to compete for a Super Bowl title and are going all-in in that pursuit. Brady has known nothing but winning in his two decades in the NFL, including six Super Bowl championships, 17 division titles and an NFL record 219 victories as a starter.”
Buccaneers General Manager Jason Licht said the move to acquire Brady “will immediately impact our entire organization.”
“Tom is a proven champion who has achieved greatness on the field because he demands the best out of himself and his teammates,” Licht said. “I’ve known Tom since we drafted him in New England 20 years ago and through this process it became very clear that his desire to be a champion burns as strong today as it ever has. He possesses the type of rare natural leadership qualities that will immediately impact our entire organization.”
Brady took to Instagram Friday morning to announce the news, as well.
“Excited, humble and hungry,” the QB started the post. “[I]f there is one thing I have learned about football, it’s that nobody cares what you did last year or the year before that…you earn the trust and respect of those around through your commitment every single day.”
“I’m starting a new football journey and thankful for the [Buccaneers] for giving me an opportunity to do what I love to do,” he continued. “I look forward to meeting all my new teammates and coaches and proving to them that they can believe and trust in me…I have always believed that well done is better than well said, so I’m not gonna say much more – I’m just gonna get to work!”
Earlier in the week, the 42-year-old signaled the end of his 20-year run with the New England Patriots via social media.
“I want to say thank you for the past twenty years of my life and the daily commitment to winning and creating a winning culture built on great values,” Brady wrote in a statement posted to Instagram.
“Although my football journey will take place elsewhere, I appreciate everything that we have achieved and am grateful for our incredible TEAM accomplishments,” the quarterback said. “I have been privileged to have had the opportunity to know each and every one of you, and to have the memories we’ve created.”
Brady added, “I don’t know what my football future holds but it is time for me to open a new stage for my life and career. I thank you from the bottom of my heart and I will always love you and what we have shared – a lifetime full of fun memories.”
