Devin Nunes Warns GOP Has Subpoenas Ready For Russia Hoax Figures If They Win House

Rep. Devin Nunes warned that the GOP has subpoenas “ready to go” if Republicans take back the House of Representatives this coming November.
In an interview with Fox News at CPAC Friday said it was difficult to trust people at the FBI and DOJ after the fake Russia hoax and Mueller’s two year partisan investigation designed to get the President.
“You can be sure of this, if we take the House in November, we have subpoenas ready to go that will continue going after these dirty cops,” Nunes told Fox News.
Nunes went on to bash Democrats, specifically Intelligence Committee Chairman Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., for not taking action to make “reforms” to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) process.
“What they’re trying to do is a cover-up — they’re trying to cover up the fact that their party was involved in the biggest political scandal in modern U.S. history, where they fed disinformation, likely Russian disinformation from a campaign into the FBI and opened an investigation on the other campaign,” Nunes said.
“They’re doing everything they can to not make reforms and that’s not going to be sufficient,” he said.
While we would applaud a continued effort by the House GOP to continue the investigations into the FBI and DOJ over the Russia hoax, should they take back the chamber, we have little confidence anything would come of it.
One thing we have learned is that when the GOP is in control of the House they love investigating Democrat malfeasance but rarely to never does anything come of it.
It seems, to those of us who live outside the Washington D.C. bubble, that members of both parties protect each other and those that run the government agencies.
The swamp protects its own, as they say. At least so far.
Lets hope that Bill Barr and John Durham’s investigation into the origins of the Russia hoax, and the surveillance of the Trump campaign, produces results.
We’ll know sooner rather than later I suppose. That said recent history would lead us to have low expectations on that front.
