Nancy Pelosi’s Daughter Briefly Suspended From Twitter, Forced to Remove Tweet for ‘Glorification of Violence’ Against Sen. Rand Paul

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s daughter has been suspended from Twitter for violating their policy against “glorification of violence” in her tweet endorsing assault on Sen. Rand Paul.

“Rand Paul’s neighbor was right” Christine Pelosi tweeted in response to Senator Paul’s remarks on his Coronavirus diagnosis.

Senator Paul was attacked by his neighbor Rene Boucher while he was mowing his lawn and suffered six broken ribs in 2017. Last year, he had to have part of his lung removed due to complications from the attack.

Boucher plead guilty to a federal charge of assaulting a member of Congress last year and was sentenced to 30 days in prison, one year of supervised release, a $10,000 fine and 100 hours of community service.

“The account owner was temporarily locked out for violating the Twitter rules against glorification of violence,” a Twitter spokesperson told the Washington Examiner on Tuesday.

According to the Twitter terms of service, “you can’t glorify, celebrate, praise or condone violent crimes, violent events where people were targeted because of their membership in a protected group, or the perpetrators of such acts.” This includes “violent acts committed by civilians that resulted in death or serious physical injury.”

It is unclear how long her account was suspended, first time offenses are typically 12 hours after the offending tweet is deleted. She was back online and tweeting up a storm on Tuesday afternoon.
