'She's a slave of capitalism': Angry mother blasts stranger who called her daughter, 19, a 'hero' for working at a fast food chain during the pandemic - revealing her child is 'terrified'(7 Pics)

A Texas mother has furiously denied remarks that her daughter is a 'hero' for working at a fast food restaurant during the pandemic, countering that she has no choice and is really a 'slave of capitalism.'
The unnamed woman, who goes by @opnmindtexas, responded to another Twitter user who lauded her daughter as a 'hero' for working an essential job while others stay at home to prevent the spread of the disease.
'Let's call it what it is. She's not a hero. She's a sacrifice demanded by the elites,' the woman said.

Oh really? One woman replied that Ellen should try working at a grocery store with no PPE like her 19-year-old daughter

She asked: 'Why does my daughter have to risk her life so some spoiled [poo emoji] can get a mass-produced hamburger during a PANDEMIC?'

The woman's rant came in response to a quote about Ellen DeGeneres, who came under fire this week when she likened quarantine to jail — a hyperbolic comparison that left a bad taste in some people's mouths.
'My 19 year old daughter is considered an "essential employee,"' she responded.
'She's a fast food worker. She's exposed EVERY DAY. No one GAF about Ellen's privilege pampers a** stuck in her mansion.
'Show me @ellen working the lines @ the grocery store. NO mask, NO gloves. Then I might care.'
Her tweet earned a reply from pop culture expert Mike Sington, who likely intended to offer support when he told her: 'Your daughter is a hero.'
But @opnmindtexas thinks hero is the wrong word.
'No, she's a slave of capitalism,' she said. 'She's terrified. I'm terrified. She can't quit because she'd be homeless. She can't come home because she could infect me and her sister (co-morbitities).

'Let's call it what it is. She's not a hero. She's a sacrifice demanded by the elites,' she went on.
'Some people might say that's harsh. I say it's time for the cold, hard truth. Why does my daughter have to risk her life so some spoiled [poo emoji] can get a mass-produced hamburger during a PANDEMIC?'
Her retort earned over 27,000 likes, and quite a few replies.
A few people challenged her, but she had some ready replies for them, too.
One wrote: 'There are a lot of ways to survive. She just doesn't want to lose that lifestyle she's living. Don't blame capitalism.'
She replied: 'Yeah... She's really living it up on that $7.25 an hour. Caviar, champagne... The works. CAPITALISM KILLED OVER 60K PEOPLE A YEAR IN AMERICA *BEFORE* CORONAVIRUS. But you sounded smart for five seconds on Twitter. Face with rolling eyes Yay, you.'

Most commenters, though, replied in a agreement, sharing their own stories of having to work despite the health risks.
'Yes! Thank you!' wrote one. 'My husband is a grocery worker, & we feel the exact same. They're not heroes, they're easily replaced because that's where the jobs are. They're risking getting ill but the corporations will not care because they can be replaced.
'As an 18 year old working in food service that pays my own rent and lives in a different continent than my family and can in no way go back and stay with them, I'm relieved someone actually sees this situation as it is,' wrote a woman named Lina.
'Sick of customers telling me they're so glad I'm still working.'
'THIS,' wrote another woman named Elycia. 'I am 19 and work at Dunkin’ Donuts with no protection against this virus. I am putting everyone I live with at risk and one of them just suffered from several strokes but I can’t quit because I need the money to pay my bills, medical expenses, food etc etc all for a coffee.'
