White woman attacks a black and indigenous protester with a HOCKEY STICK for laying in the road and blocking traffic during a demonstration in Canada

A viral video shows the moment a woman violently attacked two protesters with a hockey stick in Winnipeg, Canada on Saturday after they obstructed her path while driving through the area.
In the footage a woman who appears to be white leaps out of her vehicle and heads directly for Theo Landry, an African-Canadian nurse who was taking part in the Are You Listening Manitoba rally for Black and Indigenous Lives at the Manitoba Legislature.
His friend is seen coming to his defense and images show the woman, who is Native American, sustained head injuries in the brutal attack where they were subjected to racial slurs.
A larger group of people had earlier taken part in a round dance at the Canadian Museum For Human Rights.

Landry told the Winnipeg Sun that they were laying in protest in the middle of the road around 7.30pm and when the car, occupied by four people, pulled up.
'I decided to express my protest and my profound rage by laying in the street,' he told the Winnipeg Free Press. 'At that point, the crowd of vehicles that were waiting for me to get out the way got very aggravated at my way of protesting peacefully.'
'(One woman) started yelling that our protest was meaningless, that what we were doing was more of a negative aspect. In her eyes, it was viewed an aggression to society, that we shouldn't be expressing ourselves,' Landry said.
'She spitted out slurs toward my friend... and, at one point, she started to threaten us, saying that if we stood there any longer in the street we would get hurt.'
The woman who recorded the video said most drivers, who were described as 'testy' simply drove around the two protesters.
The suspects 'initially got out of their vehicles and were yelling at the protesters but then it quickly escalated... These guys drove ahead and stopped suddenly'.
Landry claims that when they got up the car reverse toward them, prompting him to toss water on the vehicle.

'She was very much offended by me stalling her time,' Landry commented.
When the video begins his friend is seen rushing to stop the woman wearing a Nike shirt. who ended up suffering a laceration to the head and was bleeding profusely according to Landry, who is a medical professional.
The woman who recorded the viral video tweeted that is 'isn't complete so unfortunately, you don't see the part where the girl in pink throws a glass cup at Theo or where the white girl strikes Judah on the head as she tries to take the stick away from her or where she strikes Theo on the arm.
'Or the part where one of the girls steals Theo's phone when it drops on the floor and they run and get into their car and drive off.'
A second video that circulated online shows another woman who was inside the car use the stick as a weapon against the friend.
Landry, who works at the local Children's Hospital, cared for her after the attack and she refused medical treatment at the scene by the time an ambulance showed up around 8.15pm.
Landry said he was struck first, twice in the arm.
'I was very much scared for my life,' Landry said. 'I'm lucky it was a hockey stick because I don't know what they could have come out with.'
'I was a little sore the next day, but psychologically is where the biggest toll is taken,' Landry added. 'To know that there are people who will resort to such anger over water is very disproportionate.
Police were called to the area of the protest which was organized by Jylah George-Marie Shallcross.

'From the perspective that this happened during a peaceful protest where people were doing nothing wrong is really heartbreaking,' Shallcross, who is Afro-Indigenous, said. 'It also does really show that racism does happen here, racism happens in our backyards. Things like this when they happen stay with us for our entire lives. It's not something we forget.'
'This is the reason why we're doing these protests,' Shallcross told CTV.
'It was just a mix of anger, fear, and heartbreak. I couldn't believe that somebody could do this to somebody so close to me.'
Landry said he has experienced racism several times since moving to Winnipeg in 2017.
'What transpired on July 4, I was saddened but not surprised,' Landry, 29, told the Winnipeg Sun.
Winnipeg Police Service is now investigating the incident. One of the suspects works at Canada's SportChek and the company said it is aware of the incident.
'The violent behavior seen in this video is not tolerated and does not reflect the SportChek brand or values,' SportChek tweeted. 'We have taken steps to address this matter.'
