Moment Colombian cops punch HBO 'Insecure' star Kendrick Sampson, cock their guns and arrest him for 'disrespect and refusing to obey an order' during his vacation

HBO 'Insecure' actor Kendrick Sampson is seen on video being punched by a police officer who then placed him under arrest in Colombia.

Sampson shared on his Instagram account footage of the video recorded by a bystander in Cartagena that shows the cop addressing the actor in front of a building before he punched him in the face Tuesday.

The Black Lives Matter activist stumbled, the cop then removed his service weapon from the holster and cocked it before he placed it back inside while a second police officer stood next to him as another individual looked on.

Sampson was then handcuffed and placed under arrest, and was taken to a local police precinct.

He also shared a message on his Instagram Story saying he was held for at least eight hours and that police captains showed up at this hotel to get a version of the incident.

Sampson added that he had been asked by the agents to identify the police officer.

However, he was skeptical about doing that because he 'don't trust this s***.'

Sampson, who led in Black Lives Matters protests held in Los Angeles, acknowledged he has been stopped as many as six times during his first five days vacationing in Colombia.

'It happens to Black Colombians often,' he wrote. 'I’m told stopping is policy but what is NOT is they reached down my underwear aggressively, slap my arms 5 times hard, punch me in my jaw and pull his gun on me.

'He then cuffed me and dragged me through the streets. I did not resist any legal procedure.'

A photo shared by his friend Nataly Reyes on her Instagram Story showed Sampson at the police station awaiting to file a police report after he had received a summons.

'The police have the right to ask for your ID but they don’t have the right to punch you ... and pull a gun on a person who is not committing any crime or offering any resistance, taking him to a station, not wanting to return his ID and even trying to admonish him?' she wrote in a separate post that also included the video.

'What if this person wasn’t filming? When is this gonna stop? It’s time to rethink the use of force.'

Sampson urged concerned followers to share the video of his arrest, saying 'visibility' is his 'best protection.

'This is a violation of human rights that happens every day with no accountability. My heart hurts for people here, in the U.S. and worldwide who get abused in the shadows (or in broad daylight with no accountability) and don't have that protection,' Sampson wrote on his Instagram story.

A spokesperson from Colombia's Attorney General's Office told DailyMail.com that they were aware of the incident but declined to provide further comment.

A spokesperson with the Colombian National Police did not reply to a request for comment from DailyMail.com.
