Biden Falling On Air Force One Steps Becomes Fodder For Viral Ad

President Joe Biden may be stumbling, but he’s stepping up for the stairlift industry.

Acorn Stairlifts Inc. tweeted a sales pitch that poked fun at Biden after he fell last week while walking up the steps to Air Force One to board a flight leaving Poland.

“Tired of stumbling up the stairs? We strive to help all of those in need across our nation,” the company’s tweet said. “Whether you live in small town USA or on Pennsylvania Avenue, we are ready to help you regain your independence.”

Acorn Stairlifts, which says it specializes in the manufacture and installation of stairlifts, followed up with several mocking hashtags, including “#ChairForceOne” and “#StairForce.”

The first tweet garnered nearly a quarter-million views as of Sunday, which would appear to be a lot of attention for a company with fewer than 400 followers on Twitter.

Acorn Stairlifts celebrated the Twitter post by sharing a GIF showing Danny DeVito in the film “Jumanji: The Next Level” gleefully riding a stairlift. “The marketing team after going viral on Twitter,” the tweet said.

Biden has been caught on camera stumbling while walking up the stairs to board Air Force One multiple times. He also fell off a bicycle last summer.

Despite concerns raised about Biden’s health, White House physician Kevin O’Connor said in a memo following a physical this month that the commander-in-chief “remains a healthy, vigorous 80-year-old male who is fit to successfully execute the duties of the Presidency.”

Biden says he intends to run for a second term in 2024 but has not formally declared his campaign.
