How to clear your inbox in MINUTES: Twitter user wins praise over her 7 step guide on how to delete hundreds of unread emails with just a few clicks

A woman has taken to Twitter to give advice to people who have thousands of unread emails in their inboxes.
Franchesca Ramsey, from New York, started a thread and said there is 'no reason' for you to have over a thousand unread emails sat in your inbox and in can take just 10 minutes to mass delete them and file and filter ones you do get in the future.
Some of Twitter thanked her for the advice, with over 7,000 people liking her posts.
But some just went to show her how many unread emails they had, some which were over 100,000 - much to her horror.

She started the thread by saying: 'Take 10 mins a day to mass delete, unsubscribe, filter and respond as needed. consider it spring cleaning. you can do this.'
She went o to give advice about deleteing emails from bill companies, then setting up a filter for important bill receipts you need to keep.
She then explained about filters, saying how they allow your inbox to flag emails so you know what to respond to, delete or file.

She also explained how to unsubscribe to spam emails - claiming most of the unsubscribe buttons are hidden in emails.
Many loved her advice but others started to share how many unread emails they actually had in their inboxes - much to her horror.
One shared a screen grab of her inbox icon, with over 60,00 unread emails in it - captioning it 'sorry, not sorry.'
