McDonald’s guard shoots naked man who attacked 88-year-old customer

A naked man was shot dead by a security guard in California after he crashed his car, stripped off his clothes and ran into a McDonald’s restaurant where he stabbed an 88-year-old customer, police said.
The bizarre attack happened shortly before 4:30 p.m. in Palmdale, about 40 miles north east of Los Angeles, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The unidentified suspect stripped off his clothes as he fled the scene of the traffic collision and crossed the street to the McDonald’s, police said.
He entered the restaurant and stabbed a grandfather who reportedly was at the McDonald’s with his grandchild. The suspect, whose name has not been released, then exited the fast food chain and was confronted by an armed security guard.

“The suspect assaulted the security guard, who in turn, fired at least one round, striking the suspect in the upper torso,” the sheriff’s department said in a statement. The suspect was taken to a local hospital but he did not survive.
The stabbing victim also was rushed to a hospital where he was listed in stable condition, deputies said. The security guard did not sustain any injuries during the assault.
A knife was recovered at the scene, police said.
According to ABC7 News, the 29-year-old suspect jumped a curb and slammed his two-door sedan into the exterior of a Carl’s Jr. restaurant near a door before jumping out and racing across the street to the McDonald’s.
The private security guard confronted the suspect outside the restaurant and fired his weapon to protect himself and others, a manager from the security company told ABC7.
