Turning the Capitol into a runway: Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and the Queer Eye cast cause a frenzy in Washington D.C. as they hold hands and stroll through Capitol Hill dressed in pink

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and the cast of Queer Eye have created quite a buzz after they were spotted holding hands and strolling through Capitol Hill.
The Democratic Congresswoman met with four of the five stars from the Netflix show on Thursday and personally gave them a tour of Congress.
The Queer Eye cast were in Washington D.C. to promote the Equality Act - legislation that would protect people nationwide from discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity.

Their meeting caused a frenzy, both in the halls of Congress and on social media, when Ocasio-Cortez and the cast members were spotted together.
Fans lined the halls with their phones out as they tried to catch a glimpse of them all.
At one point, Ocasio-Cortez and Jonathan Van Ness - who were both dressed in pink - were photographed holding hands as they walked together.
Ocasio-Cortez led the group - known as the 'Fab Five' - directly to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's office where they discussed the Equality Act.
The New York Congresswoman and the Queer Eye cast later shared a number of photos and videos of them all together.
Van Ness and the rest of the cast used their meeting with Ocasio-Cortez to heavily push the Equality Act on social media.

'We have the most diverse American congress ever, I’m lifted up in seeing that a United States that values Equality & protection for all is currently fighting for that. We’re making it rain pantsuits & equality in 2020,' Van Ness tweeted.
The cast also heaped praise and admiration on Ocasio-Cortez during their visit.
'On Capitol Hill we wear pink. Thank you for visiting + helping us push for the #EqualityAct, & be there to watch Congress pass the Violence Against Women Act & War Powers Resolution to end U.S. involvement in Yemen. Justice happens together,' Ocasio-Cortez tweeted.
Pelosi also chimed in on Twitter when she shared a selfie of them altogether, writing: '@QueerEye: feel free to let us know when you want @RepAOC & me to fill in next. #Fab5.'
Ocasio-Cortez started interacting with Bobby Berk on Twitter earlier this week when he offered to help her redecorate her office.
