Shocking footage shows a shoot-out involving police and a 'drunk driver' who shot at them first.
Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to Redwood Valley in California after they received a 911 call to report a drunk pedestrian on October 10.
Police later discovered a man behind the steering wheel of a parked car. Footage released by the sheriff's office shows police approaching the parked car and talking to a man inside.

One of the officers asks how much the man has had to drink and he does not respond. He can then be heard saying to them: 'Ok, just do what the f**k you're going to do man.'
The officer then says: 'Yeah how much did you drink?' 
He responds again: 'Just do what the f**k you gotta do.' 
One of the two officers is heard screaming: 'Don't reach, don't reach,' and they move back from the vehicle as shots are fired.

The suspect then crawls into the back of the car and waits for several moments before climbing out of a window which was smashed due to the bullets.
He is seen flipping the finger at the officers and gets out of the vehicle. As he appears to walk away from the car, the police taser him and he falls to the ground.
They then say: 'Do not reach for that gun, you will be shot.'  
Cops claim the suspect Joseph Anthony Corral reached for a handgun and fired at least one round at officers.

Mendocino County Sheriff Tom Allman said the suspect, Joseph Anthony Corral, was shot at least twice during the encounter and was airlifted to hospital. He survived his injuries 
Footage shows officers shooting back before arresting the suspect, who crawls out a rear window before being tasered on the ground, ABC3 reported. 
Three officers responded to the incident. Mendocino County Sheriff Tom Allman said the suspect was shot at least twice during the encounter and was airlifted to hospital.
He said: 'The subject did fire one round, and the subject got in the car at this point. 
'The subject had a Desert Eagle 50 caliber semi-automatic handgun.
'It was the highest caliber handgun available.
'All three officers returned fire, striking the subject at least twice.' 
The suspect survived the injuries. 
The officers did not sustain any serious injuries in the altercation and they gave first aid to the man on the scene.
