BREAKING NEWS: Texas high school on LOCKDOWN after reports of an active shooter

 Multiple people have been injured in a high school in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex on Wednesday morning as police responded to reports of an active shooter.

Local police, federal law enforcement officials, and fire department personnel responded to Timberview High School in Arlington.

Local news stations broadcast images filmed by helicopter news teams that show fire trucks in the parking lot where students and faculty staff were gathering.

The Mansfield Independent School District which oversees the school released a statement saying that the school was on lockdown and that students and staff were 'locked in their classrooms/offices.'
