Hot mess EXPRESS –> Rep. Eric Swalwell makes an absolute JACKA*S of himself tweeting about cuts to Special Olympics

Betsy DeVos posted the facts around the cuts the Department of Education is making, predominately in the area of students with disabilities. The media and Democrats have been telling everyone and anyone that Special Olympics is LOSING THEIR FUNDING, implying the organization is entirely dependent on government monies.
This is an insult to both DeVos and Special Olympics, and to their athletes.
Here are the facts:
It is unacceptable, shameful and counterproductive that the media and some members of Congress have spun up falsehoods and fully misrepresented the facts. Let me correct the record for you:https://www.ed.gov/news/press-releases/secretary-devos-corrects-record-trump-administration-support-students-disabilities

Since @repmarkpocan repeatedly interrupted me in yesterday's hearing, let me tell you how @POTUS' budget supports 7 million students with disabilities:

When you look at it like this, you know, in the reality of the cuts, it’s not quite as scary. But that didn’t stop Rep. Eric Swalwell from trying his best to dunk on DeVos, and of course he had to exploit someone with a developmental disability to do it.

I like pictures just as much as the next guy, AKA your boss.

But picture this: a young & exuberant athlete, with a disability, who just learned that you're cutting funding for the event she's been working towards her whole life.

I don't like that picture.

He. Is. Infuriating.
And such a damn liar.
Did we mention he’s infuriating?
You are the most disingenuous sack of garbage to come out of California. And that's the state that Hollywood is in.

Freakin’ California.
So, @ericswalwell, when was the last time you volunteered to work at Special Olympics events? I go every year to whichever one is local at the time. I'm betting you don't, and I'm betting your followers who are screaming about it never go either.

Write a check, Eric.
That would be zero.
Of course he is.
Please explain how an organization that raises 100 million a year on it's own needs more of our tax dollars. They don't, and the Special Olympics isn't going anywhere. That tax money can now be used to assist programs that don't have the fundraising power of the Special Olympics

Whole lotta truth here.
You are grandstanding over a whole 10% of the total. In real terms, instead of 150 million in funding, they'll have 135 million in funding which is still higher that their 2016 funding total of 110 million. The private sector is the primary funder.

It’s gross and pathetic.
Truly.

Would expect nothing less from Eric.
