Trump Blasts AT&T over Ownership of ‘Fake News’ CNN

President Donald Trump arrived in Britain on Monday for the start of a three-day state visit.
In order to get his dose of daily news, he flipped on a nearby television and learned he had a big problem.
In the United Kingdom, CNN is a prominent source of information, and Trump wasn’t happy about it.
So he turned it off.
“Just arrived in the United Kingdom. The only problem is that @CNN is the primary source of news available from the U.S. After watching it for a short while, I turned it off,” Trump tweeted.
Just arrived in the United Kingdom. The only problem is that @CNN is the primary source of news available from the U.S. After watching it for a short while, I turned it off. All negative & so much Fake News, very bad for U.S. Big ratings drop. Why doesn’t owner @ATT do something?

“All negative & so much Fake News, very bad for U.S. Big ratings drop. Why doesn’t owner @ATT do something?” the president added.

When considering CNN’s constant anti-Trump bias and seemingly endless negative coverage of the president, his decision to turn off the TV isn’t all that surprising.
recent story from The Western Journal exposed just how much CNN hates conservatives.
And this story shows CNN getting burned over media bias.
In this one, CNN “journalist” Chris Cuomo gets ripped for his anti-Trump bias.
Finally, this story shows how CNN went out of its way to avoid telling the truth about the border in order to advance a certain narrative.
So it made sense that Trump would take to Twitter to express his displeasure at CNN. But Trump didn’t just call out the “news” network; he called out AT&T, as CNN is owned by AT&T’s Warner Media
And Trump asked a fair question about CNN’s future, given the network’s recent ratings slide, one that any responsible owner should be asking.
“I believe that if people stoped using or subscribing to @ATT, they would be forced to make big changes at @CNN, which is dying in the ratings anyway,” Trump added. “It is so unfair with such bad, Fake News! Why wouldn’t they act. When the World watches @CNN, it gets a false picture of USA. Sad!”

Trump, not so subtly, was suggesting that boycotting AT&T might force the company to make some much-needed changes at CNN — changes that, according to Trump, would paint a more accurate picture of the United States, both domestically and internationally.
As a conservative, I strongly believe people should make informed decisions about the companies they support and then let the free market dictate the outcomes.
And perhaps CNN’s recent ratings plummet is a sign of just that — market forces punishing an inferior product.
And inferior it is — and the market certainly appears to be responding.
The Western Journal has previously noted that CNN is scaling back its health division, in addition to cutting about 90 minutes per day of — wait for it — London-based programming in favor of more U.S.-based coverage.
“CNN is preparing to make substantial cuts to its London-based television news operation in a move that is likely to result in at least a dozen employees losing their jobs,” The Guardian reported last week.
“London-based shows such as the discussion programme CNN Talk will be cut completely as the company focuses its British office on its online offering at the expense of its traditional TV channels.”
While it’s not clear why all of these changes are happening at CNN, and it’s unlikely that it has anything to do with recent moves by AT&T, I can only hope that Trump’s wish comes true — that CNN decides to ditch its fake news and instead strives to tell a more truthful story about the America that I love.
