Jim Jordan Says Republicans to Subpoena Anti-Trump ‘Whistleblower’ to Testify in Public Hearing

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) announced Thursday that Republican lawmakers are planning to subpoena Eric Ciaramella, the CIA leaker who is trying to pass himself off as a whistleblower.
Unfortunately, the Democrats wrote their impeachment resolution in a tortured way that prevents Republicans from calling in witnesses or issuing subpoenas without the consent of coup plotter Adam Schiff.

Schiff, whose staffers met with the whistleblower early on to orchestrate a coup to remove Trump from office, is fiercely fighting to keep the CIA leaker’s identity a secret, although the conservative media has already published his name.
Congressman Jordan, who is currently not on the House Intel Panel, wants Ciaramella to testify publicly and privately, however, Schiff is likely to squash the subpoena.
House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy told Politico that he may place Jim Jordan on the House Intelligence panel because it has become ground zero for Trump’s impeachment.
“If Democrats are going to turn Intel into the impeachment committee, I am going to make adjustments to that committee accordingly, for a short period of time,” House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) told Politico.

Meanwhile, Ciaramella’s lawyer Mark Zaid is fighting like hell to keep his client from testifying to Congress.
Zaid offered congressional investigators to provide written questions to answers under oath, however Senate Intel Chairman Burr said this was “not acceptable.”
Senator Rand Paul said he’s probably going to publicly disclose the name of the whistleblower and argued that the 6th Amendment of the Constitution affords you the right to confront your accuser in court.
