Trump on Navy SEAL Eddie Gallagher: “Have no fear, all will end well for everyone!”

President Trump tweeted on the continuing ordeal of Navy SEAL Chief Petty Officer Eddie Gallagher Sunday morning, saying, “Have no fear, all will end well for everyone!” Trump also gave a notice that Gallagher would appear on Fox and Friends Weekend to discuss his case.

Video of Gallagher’s appearance Sunday morning:
Gallagher told Fox he has filed for retirement effective November 30, but the Navy has scheduled a review for December 2 to kick him out of the SEALS for posing for a photo with the corpse of an ISIS fighter. Gallagher was the only one prosecuted even though over a dozen other service members were in the photo. Gallagher was acquitted of murder charges last summer in a court martial resulting from a corrupt, malicious prosecution but was convicted for the photo and was demoted. Trump reinstated his rank and pay grade last week. The Navy then announced it was seeking to take Gallagher’s SEAL Trident PIN.
Secretary of the Navy Richard Spence posted a disrespectful tweet about the rumors he was threatening to resign, not addressing Gallagher by his rank, a la Lt. Col. Vindman.

Gallagher told Fox Sec. Spencer tried to intervene in his case and influence outside groups from supporting him. Gallagher said he will reveal the evidence next week. He filed an IG complaint last week about the abuses in the handling of his case.
Media reports this weekend had the Navy brass warning President Trump about intervening further with Gallagher’s case, including threats of resignations.
