Uh Oh: Official Trump Campaign Twitter Account "Locked" After Sharing Hunter Biden Email Video
If you couldn’t possibly believe that big tech is actively partaking in what many have called “election interference” by reducing the distribution of content that could cause great harm to Joe Biden’s presidential campaign, believe it. It’s happening as you read this.
Facebook and Twitter came under heavy fire on Wednesday after they openly admitted to censoring a bombshell story about Hunter Biden’s business dealings — potentially with his father — in Ukraine. The evidence came in the form of a trove of emails discovered on what appears to be one of Hunter Biden’s laptops that he dropped off at a computer repair shop and never retrieved.
The story and emails contained so much shockingly incriminating information — especially the emails that seemingly indicated that Joe Biden met with a Bursima official even though he’s denied it — that big tech moved to immediately crush the spread of the story, citing a number of absurd reasons as to why they made the decision.
As reported by Fox News, the big tech censorship situation grew even more concerning on Thursday morning after it was reported that the Twitter account belonging to the official presidential campaign for President Donald Trump had been temporarily banned after the account shared a video in which Joe Biden was labeled as a “liar.”
The reason why the account — which reaches 2.2 million followers — was banned, according to Twitter, is below.
“Your account has been locked,” the Twitter message read. “What happened? We have determined that this account violated the Twitter Rules. Specifically, for: Violating our rules against posting private information.”
“This is election interference, plain and simple. For Twitter to lock the main account of the campaign of the President of the United States is a breathtaking level of political meddling and nothing short of an attempt to rig the election,” the campaign said.
“Joe Biden’s Silicon Valley pals are aggressively blocking negative news stories about their guy and preventing voters from accessing important information. This is like something from communist China or Cuba, not the United States of America,” it added.
After a quick check, I discovered that the Team Trump Twitter account had been restored in the past hour, but the fact that it was taken down — even for a second — tells us that Joe Biden’s big tech forcefield of protection is a clear and present danger for Trump and millions of Americans.
Since they control the vast majority of information flow — especially news content — around the country and the world, it now looks as though they will cross any line with regard to violating Free Speech if it results in protecting their candidate, even if it’s temporarily.
Interestingly enough, Twitter or Facebook or any other big tech company moved to censor liberal media outlets and personalities when President Trump’s private and protected tax return information was published last month. That was apparently free game and doesn’t fall under their guidelines for spreading “private” information.
With only 19 days until the November 3 election, there’s no telling what lengths these tech companies will go to in order to make sure that their candidate — Joe Biden — has the best possible chance at winning.
