Denny's hostess quits on the spot when two anti-maskers falsely claim they are exempt from wearing facial coverings under the Civil Rights Act of 1964

A Denny's hostess quit on the spot after two men entered the Illinois restaurant and falsely claimed that they were exempt from wearing masks due to a religious exemption under the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

The video, which was taken in September but shared on Reddit Tuesday, shows the woman greeting the men as they enter the establishment.

She is heard telling them that they need to have on masks in order to be seated.

'We have a religious exemption,' the man filming the video tells the hostess. 'We just don't want to wear a mask.'

When they refuse to wear masks she slams down her menus and yells that she's quitting

A Denny's hostess quit on the spot after two men entered the Illinois restaurant and falsely claimed that they were exempt from wearing masks due to a religious exemption under the Civil Rights Act of 1964

The woman (pictured) then yells to her manager: 'Roger, I'm not working for this sh*t anymore! These guys won't put their masks on, I'm sick of feeling like this!'

She then tells them they are required to wear facial coverings, prompting one of them to claim that they are exempt under the 'Civil Rights Act'.

Visibly frustrated, the woman walks over to a table and says: 'You know what? I quit!'

She slammed down menus that she was holding and yelled: 'I f**king quit! What is wrong with you people?'

The woman then yells to her manager: 'Roger, I'm not working for this sh*t anymore!'

'These guys won't put their masks on, I'm sick of feeling like this!' she yells while halfway out the door.

The men then ask her why she's discriminating against them to which she snaps: 'I'm not discriminating against you!'

Roger (right) then approaches the two men and says: 'I'm sorry you cannot come in without a mask. The governor has said no mask, no service.' The man filming responds: 'Sir the Civil Rights Acts says we can claim our religious exemption for not wearing a mask. We're not sick'

'No not here,' Roger said. 'Okay, then you've lost our business,' the man (one of the men pictured) says as both of them walked out the door

The men's claims were false and according to the National Law Review, Federal Law Title 2 of the Civil Rights Act, which has been cited by religious groups refusing to wear masks, 'does not guarantee your entry into any particular business establishment'

Meanwhile, the woman was later seen emerging from the back of the restaurant with her belongings.

The woman has not been identified and it's unclear if she actually followed through with her intention to quit. The incident is also believed to have occurred at the Denny's on Mannheim Road in Franklin Park, Illinois.

The manager at the restaurant refused to give a comment to DailyMail.com when reached by phone.

A DailyMail.com request for comment to Denny's was not immediately returned Wednesday afternoon.
