Joe Biden Calls GOP Division on House Speakership Vote “Embarrasing”

Joe Biden called the Republican Party’s internal conflict over who should be the next House Speaker “embarrassing.”

Biden made the remarks on Wednesday as he prepared to travel to Kentucky to celebrate his infrastructure bill with Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell.

Biden said, ” With regard to the fight over the speaker — that’s not my problem,” when asked about the Republican Party’s inability to agree on a leader.

“I just think that it is embarrassing the way it has taken so long and the way they are treating one another,” Biden continued.

“And the rest of the world looking, looking at, you know, this is the United States of America, and I hope they get their act together.”

On Wednesday, Trump-endorsed McCarthy (R-CA 20th District) failed to win in the 4th and 5th votes.

Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL 19th District) was nominated by Rep. Roy (R-TX 21st District) and Rep. Boebert (R-CO 3rd District), and received the support of 20 Republican representatives in the 4th and 5th rounds of voting.

Rep. Boebert gave a speech on the House floor nominating Rep.Donalds and ended by saying President Trump should call McCarthy to withdraw because he doesn’t have the votes.
